Betrayal

Suddenly his small happy world
Came to end
How could he ever think?
That the family so closely knit
Could ever scatter like the
Dry leaves of an autumn tree
Leaving the branches bare
In this selfish, seekers’ world
Traditional family bonds; who cares?

His adult son was stunned
His entire courage was gunned
His daughter was drowned in grief
No one to give solace; no where to find relief.

Twenty two years of togetherness
And seemingly smooth relationship
So fragile these, to create such a mess
Tearing apart their peace without any tip.
